Hunting coyotes advice.

Me and my buddy was out spot lighting behind my house a few nights ago and all of the sudden 10 or 15 coyotes went crazy. I've heard coyotes before but nothing like this. I have no experience what so ever in coyote hunting but would like to start, the adrenaline rush I got when they was howling was unreal. So should we be hunting at night when its seems they're most active or some time during the day? We've got a rabbit stress call, do we also need a howling call? There is open fields but the woods are also close by and theres two ponds in the area, there is also high points where we can see a good distance. We did go the other night and used the call with no luck but we did hear the coyotes again. Some advice would be much appreciated so we can have a better chance of killing a few.

Hunt at dawn and dusk, unless you want to hunt at night with lights.

Set-up in cover with a view to open fields and a water source.

Camo from head to toe and a good call (I use Primos).

I find my most successes are when I'm set-up near cattle.

Call soft and infrequent.

Most importantly remain as still as possible.

If you have a small "critter" looking thing to use as a decoy, all the better.

Good luck !!!
