Tips For Trapping Coyote

There is a coyote running the ditchline back behind my house and i would like to try and take it out. It is hurting the rabbit and game bird population. If anyone could help me with some trapping tips it would be highly appreciated. He also seems to run in the ditch water.

This time of year, I dont know if trapping him is a "legal" option in your state... I would try to narrow the time down when he is there, and call him in... then shoot him...

I'd just call it and shoot it. If it's the first time you try calling it there's a good chance it will come to see whats up.

I personally would not try to trap one, but shoot him. Trapping will be MUCH more difficult and time consueming.

First thing I would recommend is to shoot them, but if you wants to trap them.

Dig a small pit.........

Place all types of "bait" into pit and cover with light earth and leaves.

Continue this for one month and then place your traps in the pit with the "bait".

Done............................Use gloves and cover scent when setting with traps.
