aah i was on private land, and got told to get rid of them as they keep comeing to eat the horses food and the geeses food that is layed out, which mostly consists of bread and other things, and there were 3 of them going to the lake, and i managed toi get one, so hopefully the other 2 wont come back untill duck season:L

if thats a canadian goose then we've got different ideas as to what a goose looks like. ie. look for a long neck. Thats a dead give away. Just one question though, are you going to use the animal for something like eating it or was it distroying your crops or did ya kill it just to try out your rifle? If its either one of the fist two then congrats, if not then why kill it?

jamsta... it looks like it was a mallard. And by your description, if people were laying out food for the duck such as bread and stuff then they probably want them around or the ducks are possibly pets rather than pest. As far as the crows eating the food from the horses. kill em, just make sure its legal.
