Trapping Groundhogs in NY

Does anyone from NY know if it's legal to trap for groundhogs.
I have property in a residentail-ish area with way too many groundhogs running around.
Didn't want to disturb the neighbors with a .22 shot.
I have a trapping license but can't find anything in the regs about it.
They are not protected under hunting regs, meaning you can hunt them any time.
Any help would be appreciated.
Trying to stay legal ;)

Why not just call a game warden and ask them. They may even have more, or better, ideas.

I plan on it.
Just looking for sportsman input.
I've asked them about something else in the past and got several differnt answers.

I am also in NY , I know they are unprotected species and can be taken at anytime, I would just make sure you let the DEC know that you are trapping them in your area , that you do have a license , shouldn't be any problem. You can go to the DEC's website and find the correct contact in your area, and call or email them too.
