Really. I thought a dogs were yellow. I thought some cats were yellow as well. I'm talking about a bright green color. It wasn't like anything I had seen before.

Just last night I saw a cat that had yellow eyes... Not all animals have green eyes when you shine the light on them. I know cattle have the green eyes and I've heard deer do.

I haven't been shining my spot light at too many animals at night. ;)

I was about 150 yards from a creek. Let me set the table here. It was mid bow season. My father in-law , my brother in-law and myself were recovering two deer they had shot that evening. I saw a set of bright green eyes watching us from a heavy thicket. I moved the flash light back and forth across the eyes but the animal did not move. I think it watched us the entire time we were field dressing the deer and dragging them out. The eyes seemed to be about a foot or so off of the ground. At the time I thought it might be a coyote but I didn't know what color their eyes reflected. In the back of my mind I dismissed it as a cat. But, I am still not sure.

The ellusive jaguar!!!! No, seriously it could've been a cat. In my experience of many nights of hunting raccoons I can tell you that I've seen justabout everythingwith green eyes. Coons are orange as are deer. Coyotes and dogs usually reflect back as yellow.

After further review.... it seems that animal eye reflection has a lot to do with the color of their eyes and the color of their coat. The darker the animal the greener the eyes.

I shined the light on my neighbors dog last night, before he looked his eyes were yellow (he was standing broadside so some of the light got into his eyes) then looking at me they turned green.

pretty weird..

We'll go with "cat" for now. I think the dark coat theory may have some merit. I could only see the eyes and nothing more. That makes me think it had black or [at least dark] fur.

Deer, coyotes, and lots of small animals are green. As a coon hunter, I've seen a lot of different animals under a light beam. Coons and foxes are bright orange.

Probably a cat.

With a red light, a coyotes eyes are.....red. Called in two awhile back at night while hunting bobcat, and they both showed-up red.

Using the same light, cat eyes are green (domestic ones, anyways).

You mean the chupacabra, I've seen one of those! And some places allow spot lighting, Like PA.
