If you use snares, you could maybe raise your snares up, minimizing the chance of catching a smaller critter like raccoon or fox. Maybe??? quote]

nick, you ever tried releasing a live coon from a snare.

I think its pretty much unanimous, use a GUN!!
Just scroll down a couple treads and read 08-09 predator score sheet.
Not to many trappers can get results that good.
I raise foxes, I grab live foxes for a living, and raccoons don't bite as hard! You can use a catch-pole, but if your a man you don't.:D Get a pair of shoulder length welding gloves, grab them by the tail, they go limp.

What the heck does that have to do with anything??? Obviously you're a very judgmental, ignorant person. You don't know me. I don't drink anymore, and when I did it was like twice a month, but doesn't every senior? I made a mistake once, and I am labeled an alcoholic. What does it even have to do with the post, is it just a personal shot to antagonize me?
Back to the thread.....With my foxes, all I do is put a board in the hole to their "den", grab them by the tail, they go limp, its not that bad. Now, when I grab her kits, then I might get a little tore up, because I like to use my bare hands to feel for cuts, scratches, wounds. And yes, I do have my rabies shot.:D
