New rifle (pics)
Per man-law here are a few pics of my new yote rifle. A NEF .223Rem with the 22'' heavy bbl. It's topped with a very trustyTasco WorldClass Plus 3.510x50 that I've had for years on my .270win.I bought a new Burris FullField II for it, but didn't like the reticle. I bought a new Weaver Extreme 30mm to put back on my .270.

RE: New rifle (pics)
That is a nice gun. Just wondering how much did that setup cost you?

Nice lookin rifle!
Are youusing a hammer extention? Make sure it clears the scope. Had one on my HR 30-30 took it outtarget shooting and the scope was interfering with the hammer. Wasn't making complete stikes on the fireing pin had to remove the extention. |

RE: New rifle (pics)
This is a five shot group with 55gr Remington PSPs. I don't think it's too bad considering the price of the rifle and that the only thing I had for a rest was my jacket thrown across my tail gate. The first shot is the shot in the orage. The shot that hit low and to the left was my fault, not the rifle.

RE: New rifle (pics)
I've had that same rifle for a few years now. It hasn't seen alot of action, but it is a real nice gun. I have shot under an inch at 100(even a few cloverleafs)on occasion, but I'm not going to call it a 'Sub MOA' rifle by any means.
I've had some problems with the scope keeping zero, and have got a new set of Talley one-piece bases and a Burris FFII just waiting for a good time to be mounted. Can't wait to see it then. BTW, my groups open up a bitonce the barrel starts to warn up. |
RE: New rifle (pics)
Very nice, I love the scope.
|
RE: New rifle (pics)
Nice Gun man, I have heard great things about that brand.
|
RE: New rifle (pics)
Make sure after 2-3 rounds you let it cool down completely. I have one and after 2-3 rounds the barrel gets hot and you have really crappy groups.
