If broadside I aim right behind the front shoulder, If it is facing me I aimat the chest. Unless its real close the then head is always the best. The others give a little more room for error. But I shoot a 22 caliber pellet rifle. Bigger lead but slower at 800-900 fps.

it takes 2-3 shots with a 499 FPS gun...i being a canadian and without a father without a gun licence thats all i can get.:(we shot one just behind the shoulder blade on the left side then once in the windpipe...and the final shot was one in the head...so it all depends on the size of your gun

Take it from me. I hunt squirrels with a pellet gun. Try and hit just behind the eye. That will result in a quick, and easy kill. I have killed 4 squirrels to date with my pellet gun, all have dropped, all from about 20 yards. all shot right behind the eye.

Not too many people like the PBA ammo, but if it shoots good for you, stick with it. As they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

It's pretty much the same as anything else, chest or head. With a .177 caliber, you'll want to keep your shots within about 30 yards or so.

Switch to a hollow point pellet.

I aim for the head. If you can't hit the head aim for the chest, but they sometimes get away with a chest shot.I've already cleaned squirrels that had pellets in their chest cavity from a different time.
