Dlose encounter with a Huge Red Fox
 

Saturday afternoon while bowhunting for deer and turkeyI had a rabbit sitting not 10 yards away. Being that it was the first day of small-game season I figured I would take him for a future meal.

A carbon shaft with a Hellrazor ruined his day, and after a short search I found it and went back to my stand. Rather than leave it at the base of the treewhere I couldn't see it I layed it over a fallen log about 10 feet in front of my stand.

About 45 minutes later I heard leaves rustling behind me. This went on for ten minutes, a few tiny steps and then dead quiet. Finally, I broke discipline and sneaked a look over my right shoulder. There just 5 feet from my tree was the biggest red fox I have ever seen. He bolted up the hill behind me for 20 yards, stopped and looked back and then was gone.

All I could do was think to myself...I love bowhunting.

It's very cool , the things you can see when your in a tree stand. I like just sitting in my stand in the spring with just a camera, and a few beers.
