Default Killed my first yote tonight

he was a little guy, probably this year's pup but it's good to finally get one under my belt. i'm a little frustratedthough because everycoyote i ever see (including the one i shot today) i see only because i spook them up when i'm moving locations. i have yet to successfully call one in. i know i need a better call i just can't afford an expensive digital one right now. i guess i just need to keep practicing with my mouth call and putting in the time and effort.

Mouth calls should do the trick. Just keep at and make a dying "anything" noise and you will succeed.

Some of the calls that I've seen sound a LOT like squeaky toys for any ole house pet. I've thought about trying that sometime...

Coyotes may be the mostchallanging critter in the woods to get on consistantly. To me thats part of the game and why I enjoy it. Keep hacking they will come down.

if you are spooking them inbetweenstands you may not be sitting long enough. it might be you are spooking a coyote coming to your call. sometimes staying a little longer than usual will pay off. how long are you sitting?

i'd guess that i'm sitting roughly half an hour but it may just be that it seems that long. that's what my dad said too so i'm definately gonna sit longer next time.

Just keep on trying and that mouthcall will bring them in,most of them show in the first few minutes but I have had them come as late as an hour after I started calling.Good hunting.
