I had a good weekend... only 2 stands.. responses both times... Killed the fist one, put a bullet right in the sniffer... I meant for the head, shot low... Then stand two, he came out of the corn feild directly down wind, I let onefly,I might as well been shooting at a ghost... Didnt touch him.. sure looked scared though...

gave deer hunting a break this morning and made one stand before running my traps. this is the first kill with some different bullets reloaded,55gr nosler ballistic tip. very fur friendly so far. 60 yards bang flop pretty good size male.

Glad to see some other Illinois boys laying the smack down...
Good looking dog, have you been seeing many while out deer hunting? My thoughts is with the rut in full swing and every deer hunter and their mom out in the woods tromping to a frow, the coyotes are just on their toes edgy.... I hate working myself to a stand and along the hedgerow there sits a deer hunter.... I dont know who is more ticked me or him... I have had some that didnt even see me until I was right up on them... I know I cant slip through the woods like a deer, so...

thanks! no havent seen any til this morning. had a pair come in looked like pups. i drew back and waited and was gettin ready to shoot then i saw a third one comin must have been mom notiably bigger than the other two. i was waitin for her but she took a different route and swung out wide with no shot. [:@]thats hunting

Well, I got a chance to pull the trigger today, once, despite warm and windy conditions we managed to have a little action.This was a chip shot of about 45 yards,I can handle those.
