i've heard of people who have eaten them but i guess the meat is pretty tough. i'd try it though.

Those dogs are rare in NY. I've only seen 2 in 23 years of hunting.

Just wanted to add an update. I was bow hunting this morning and saw this coyote mousing in a field. Gave her just a few squeaks and she came to 30 yards were a smoked her with my bow.

Awesome pic of a cool lookin coyote. I saw a completely black one 2 weeks ago bowhunting. Had him within 5ft talk about a rush. That coyote would makea awesome mount for sure. Good luck running across him
