Unless your just wanting another gun i would just stick with your .243 its not like your going to shoot a box of shells a day. price shouldnt make much difference. All factory ammo is getting rediculous. Try throwing some 58 gr. vmax's down the tube. Thats all i use in my 243 for yote hunting. They very seldom move after the first shot....and like howler said if there still moving throw more lead. Just my opinion though

.223, doesnt tear up the hide as bad, I like to sell the skins to taxidermists or to the fur market and it is hard to do with a hole the size of a coffee can blown in it, love my 22-250 but it is destructive..
