Electronic coyote call

I am new to the board and coyote hunting. I am wanting to buy a good quailty electronic call to lure coyote to my hunting ground. I own the land where I will be hunting, so I know there are plenty around. I have read a lot of the post, but anymore useful hints for a rookie would be nice too.

Fox Pro and Manaska both make top quality units.

That is true, the foxpro is a good E-caller, but they are very expensive. If you are new to the sport, look into the Johnny Stewart line of callers. They are much more afordable, and I think they have standard setting tones. I would put my JS up aganst the fox pro"s in a heartbeat. You may also consider just a few hand calls too, don"t be affraid to give that a go.

Yea, I saw the prices of the foxpro, wow! What model of the JS do you recommend? I've looked at some on ebay, not too pricey.

with the price of foxpro, you might as well spend a little more and buy a Wildlife technologies, that way your getting the best sounds available!

Also look at the Minaska callers.

try craigslist or Ebay, you might be able to save some $ on the caller you choose.

I have, and recomend the prey master by JS. You can get mant different sound card from coyotes to crow to disstress house cat, witch I have had good luck with near dairy farms and subdivitons. JS also makes some cheaper calls, but don"t have the volume of the PM.

There's a new website out there called Hunt-A-Swap, check to see if someone has a used or new electronic caller listed there. I'm not using E-Bay anymore, I refuse to spend my hard earned money with them due to their new stand on gun parts. Pretty much any gun part that makes a firearm go "Boom" is no longer welcome on E-Bay. Anyway, check out that Hunt-A-Swap site, its pretty cool, in the fact that its a swapping site also, so a person can buy, sell, or swap with other people for items. Good Hunting ... SHOTARYE
