How good are the remote control callers? Anyone using them?

Is the range as good as they claim it to be?

Yes, the remote callers do work as good as they claim,my Foxpro FX3 works father than you need it to.I usally set up within 70yards or less anyway the terrain here in Kentucky is a little hilly.I have tried it in my driveway up to 400 yards,but I dont have any need to call that far away,even in the woods,through barn walls it works great.call them in close and kill'em.

Thanks for your reply..Is this the type of call where you can
program different sounds? I want to get a crow grathering
sound as well..It sure is lots of fun shooting crows up to 200
or so yards with the 22-250..
I think they are about the toughest critter to hit..They never
stay still long enough..I have missed several of them in the
past..Also,can one order the call with the sounds he wants
already on it.....Thank John

good evening johnny2 yes it is programmable from your own home computer.I just bought it in 2006 it holds 32 sounds,you can change sounds,the order they are in and everything its great.I am not a salesman but check out their website you can sample their entire sound library.I also crow hunt with mine it works great.I have shot some sitters at about 150 with my trusty 5mm rem mag and several with my ruger M77 markII 223 IT'S GREAT TO TALK TO PEOPLE WHO SHARE THE SAME JOYS OF THE OUTDOORS .thanks coyote#68

Hey Coyote-

I checked out thier web site..Very good and thanks for sharing it with me..
Which one of the remote calls do you think I would need? I just want some-
thing for crows and maybe for coyotes and fox..Sense I had the heart attack
the crows is my favorite..I can shoot them right from the yard,:D:D:D.
My son chases the coyotes with dogs..That is exciting...
But the crows are a bugger to hit sometimes....More fun than shooting wood-
chucks..Thanks for the info..

Stikbow--I know of a guy that turns his call on as
soon as he gets out of the truck and lets it play
until he reachs his stand..Seems to work for him
his main target is fox,so I don't know how this
would work for coyotes...Maybe some others will
chime in here with more advice for you...

Some guys let thier Ecallers play constantly, and some guys turn them on and shut them off randomly or when they see a coyote coming. Both ways seem to work.
One thing that I have noticed, although I have rarely been around the use of an Ecaller, but for those that turn them on and leave them on, it seems like the coyotes come faster/harder to the constant sound. Not always the case I'm sure, but it does seem to be a pattern.

hey johnny2 I'll let you decide on whats best for you go to the www.allpredatorcalls.com website and check them out,I love my foxprofx3 the only time it has ever failed was my fault,[I forgot to turn it off after retreiving a coyote that I had shot and left it on,that will run down any batteries,but no problem it comes with a charger and nimh AA batteries mine are still good for 2years now]and if you have allpredcalls send you a free catalog they might send you a free subscription to predator Xtreme magazine,they did me.hope this helps I to have a physical condition that limits my hunting to less than I would like to do. CALL'EM IN CLOSE AND KILL'EM ALL!!!
