Rabbit hunting

Hey, I thought about going out on my first rabbit hunt with a friend. Since I dont know much about hunting 'em, some tips would really help. what is the killzone on a rabbit? Do I need to ware camo? What kind of food can I lure them in with? And where do you find them? Sorry for such amature questions :)

So much to say... (I'll try to condense it.)

I am assuming that you do not have dogs... Thus you will be still shooting and jump shooting them.

On that note:
[ul][*]The kill zone on a rabbit it mainly a headshot. The entire body may kill a rabbit but it is the most effective and humane way in my opinion.[*]This may be done with use of a small caliber rifle (.22) or a shotgun (12, 16, 20, .410 gauges)[*]If you shoot the body, meat loss can be great.[*]Camo is not necessary, but can be used. (Most states have a hunter's orange law)[*]Rabbits love corn, apples, seeds, nuts, and carrots. (Most states have laws against baiting though)[*]Rabbits are heavily populated in thick areas. The best areas I have found are overgrown apple orchards, thick edges of fields (corn, soy, etc.), Briar patches (thornbushes), Old clearcuts (and possibly powerlines), and Select cut hardwoods.[*]If you are hunting hares, they are found heavily in Cedar swamps.[/ul]

Good luck, keep me updated.
