question for you all ?
i went on a rabbit hunt with my fiance's little cousin last week. I shot the only rabbit of the day and since i had to leave he said he would enter it in for me since i couldn't make the weight in. We agreed that if he won something with it that i would get the gun. (both of us where entered in the tournament). He won a gunand his father is being a dick about it calling all his friends telling him my boy won a gun and yada yada yada. So we go and get the gun and he has me put it in my name so that he can give it to me for christmas and it will already be in my name. WE get there and he falls in love with the gun and takes it home and throws all the packaging away and i got my presents tonight from him and the gun wasn't one of them. What do i do about this ? i mean i think i have been ****ed and i am not very damn happy about this. He is telling everyone that he won and he didn't. This isn't right and i am very pissed off about it. His parents both know i won it and it was my rabbit and they don't seem to care ! What can i do about this ?
PS...him and his father have 60 guns , no lie , and i have 1 ( my .30-06) so it is going to collect dust like the other 10 .22's he already has. [X(] yeah i know i might be bitching , but i mean i was raised that you don't tell someone your going to do something and promise them it , and then not do it cause you want itinstead. Unless i earned something when i was young i didn't get it. I don't see how he can morally feel it is right to keep it knowing he didn't earn it or deserve it ! |

It's not worth loosing your fiance over a gun. Just remember what goes around - Comes around. Some day it will backfire on the fiance's little cousin. Have to agree with jr on that one caulk it up to a learning experience . If it was me i would be looking for a new hunting partner. I also agree what goes around comes around..... steakman

go hunting with him again, ask him if you can try it out. then unload it and drop it in the parking lot. then , as you bend over to pick it up, pull a charlie chaplin and kick it as you bend over... repeat as often as you can before he screams...
that sucks and is a buncha bull, but at least you know the caliber of jerks you're dealing with! |

That really sucks. However, I agree with the other replies. I think you would be best just to way away and turn the other cheek. Brownie points with the fiancee. If it were me though, I wouldn't be in any rush to go hunting with the cousin or the father any time soon.

Thats BS. Ask him to borrow one of his guns then just forget to give it back.If he ask about it tell him yeah thats the gun I won last year nice isn't it.

I would get it out of my name ASP,and then get it put in his Name....I know I wouldnt want a weapon out there in my name if it wasnt in my controll.... AND if he wont put it in his name tell him you are going to let the LLE know that you had a gun stollen...Then if he trys to sell it,it will come back as stollen........

just let it go man it may piss ya off but IMO opinion you are being just as childish about it just as they are. If the kid truly loves it that much just let him have it. You may tell him hey sonny boy dont say uncle joe never gave ya nothing and leave it at that. for god saches whats a 22 rifle cost? but maybe 200 - 250 bucks if ya want a 22 that bad just go buy one... from the looks of your avatar you look like yer doing pretty good for yourself just cut back on the twinkies and the money ya save go buy a 22.

Tell,em its in my name hand it over or the law comes to get it. **** happens but doe,s the future wife want to come and see ya in jail . May be the inlaws would change there minds real quick if they knew the law was on there way. How many of there other guns are legal or stored properly

yeah i got an update for you all , it's his father is the problem , he had it all wrapped for me for christmas and when his father found out what it wasand was told the whole story he refused to let him give it to me

and hey dessertwolf , in reply to your smart ass comment , i had a heart attack at 22 , from a blood clot that they didn't catch in time , i have essential thrombocytosis which is a platelet blood problem , i have 3 stents and i can't really do much physical stuff to lose weight , it's been an uphill battle but thanks for the moral ****ing support !

TZ71---If you dont mind me asking,how long have you had your stents? I got mine in Dec of 05..
6 months after my dad passed away..I was dead for 20 minutes they told me.....Then in Dec of 06 went back in again,but all looked good...Well,watch for that arrow around 11:00...LOL |
