Rabbit Hunting (12/15) - Pics
Well, finally made it out with the pups. We have been training them hard and got some great video footage today. My uncle and I do not shoot the rabbits unless they get two complete circles, so we passed on 5 rabbits, and I connected with one and a great run. Boy is it fun!
My View: ![]() This is my favorite photo. I opted to take out my Gramps old Single shot 20 gauge... Brings back memories of him! ![]() The pups: ![]() The mom herself: ![]() |

Nice cottintail!!!!!!! Those single 20's are an awesome gun for cotts. I used to have one, and it was great for quail tooo as soon as I learned how to reload fast enough and still be accurate.

AWESOME!! Congrats!
I've got two beagles, but they aren't exactly hunters....they like to go out and run, but I never was able to train them right. They sure are great dogs though! |

why would I lay my gun in the snow? all snow is is frozen water, and water doesn't hurt a gun if you treat your gun right. that means anytime your gun gets wet, you oil it down. I oil my guns even when they don't get wet.
if was snowing so hard that I had to oil it anyway, why not? Thanks to everyone, running dogs is a true love. |
