Havent heard much about the stevens rifle made by Savage. I heard they are a very reliable gun for the price. Fill me in with any info possible!

i had one in a .308 caliber. i didnt think it was a bad rifle for the money, but the stock is really cheap lookin. it also kicked like a mule, but shot good. in that price range i would really be looking at the 100ATR by mossberg, if your looking for a rifle in that price range.

I bought my son one in .270 2 years ago and he has killed I believe 7 deer with it in ranges from 50 to 200 yds. He is 14 years old and he is a very decent shot. I think this is a very good gun for the price. He is shooting 150 gr. Hornaday ballistic tip with great results.

A buddy of mine that hunts coyotes with dogs has one in a 22-250 and is accurate as hell! He kills plenty of them!! Basically same as the new savage's w/o the accutrigger

I started to purchase on last weekend, but after i handled it,i had second thoughts. It may shoot good but itfeels very cheap like the stock is gonna fall off.And the gun shop owner told me if i put at bi-pod on it that when i use it that it will push up on the stock therefore putting pressure on the barrel causeing it to shoot different(it has a free floating barrel).I went ahead and bought a remington 700 sps varmint.Dicks sporting goods has em on sale for $449.

I have the same gun.Might not be the prettiest, but I can put it through h$ll and it still shoots a flea off a fly's butt at 300 yards.:D

Great gun for the money. Buy cheap aftermarket stock and you are still ahead of the cheapest Rem.
