Pelt prices?

I'm in West Texas. I'm curious about current prices for pelts. Anything and everything, but particularly coon. Mustanimals be cased out or can they be sold dead and bloated? ; )

Thanks!

check out the current issue of fur fish and game, they have the expected price for all furbearers. also check out http://www.furharvesters.com/PDF/pelthandling.pdffor information on skinning animals.

Lots of furbuyers will buy the whole animal. However, if they are bloated, they may not want to mess with them, epsecially if the fur is starting to slip off because of decomposition.

I'm getting $20 for a good coyote and it goes down from there depending on condition of the fur.

The way I see it, Some guy is gonna give me money for a dead coyote, umm OK.
