skinning a skunk

What is the best way to skin a skunk without getting a nice surprise of stink? I've heard underwater works well. Are they worth anything?

wear gloves and don't hit the gland you can find the directions on line. i bethat fur fish and games web site might even have current fur prices for your region to. if you get sprayed or your cloths really stink try this it really works, dig a hole in your garden or yard and burythem for a week when you dig them up and wash them the smell is gone

I'd shoot it with a 300 ultra mag, that usually turns it inside out. ;)
