Brod man i live in alberta. Ruffed grouse feed on clover and like mixed forests. I see a lot of them in the thick willows where theres that tall yellow grass growing and in the poplars. I shot one today sitting right under a tall spruce tree and when I went to pick it up, I shot another one right above me out of a branch at point blank. Sometimes they can be real spooky and you have to shoot them running and other times their so stupid you can walk right up to them and get the whole flock.

hey lethal, i counted 5 is that correct? that would be 100pts, with the archery kill which is a 15pt. bonus that comes out to be 115pts.

actually i got 6 but the pic with 2 in it i forgot my shotty, so there are actually only 4 in the pics i showed

First coyote shot with a .222 on a dead run at 100 yards. Missed him twice so i gave him another foot of lead and dropped him. 100 points

Got out today (Jan.3/08) and shottwo porcupines. This one I shot out of a tree with a .222 CIL 830 50 gr HP Rem.
