I agree, sounds like your on the right track. One thing I like to do is keep the wind in my favor or at least have the wind blowing in a direction where I can see clearly. This way, if the coyote decides to try and wind me I will have a clear shot at it. I also like to keep the sun in my favor any time I can, especially early and late in the day when the sun is lowest in the sky. Make sure there are no shiny parts on me or my gear. Blend in with the surroundings best that you can. One other thing that I think alot of guys do which will make the difference between success and watching success run away before it got there, is moving to get the gun into position at the wrong time. If the coyote shows up, say 90 degrees from where your gun is pointing, don't panic, unless it is almost in your lap already, but wait until the coyote gets to a point where you can't see it any more, then move your gun into position. Don't over call. If using mouth calls, and you see one coming, if it's coming, stay quiet, and use lip squeek to coax it in, and only do that if it hangs up further than your comfortable shooting range. Good Luck!
