Yote or Fox????
 

Is this a young Coyote or a Fox??? This guy has been coming out every night that I've been out scouting this past week! Hopefully he'll be around come this fall!

Looks like a yote to me. He doesn't look real red or anything. Kinda got a yote head aswell.

Looks like a fox to me, the nose looks to narrow to be a yote, front legs look like the lower parts are darker and the collar band?? But I have seen yotes in about every color phase posted here too.

Thats a coyote with his summer coat on. Summer time they look real skinny.

Looks like a yote to me. The coat doesn't have the same colors and color variation of that of a red/gray fox. And the wig on that sucker says "coyote" more than it does "fox."

I agree, but if its a Fox I'm in big trouble if I shoot it NOW! It does look like a Coyote with a summer coat! The legs aren't dark like a fox, but it does have a black tip on the end of the tail! I need to make sure before I shoot, i'st pretty hard not to pull the trigger![8D]

I agree it's a Coyote! So much so that I just went out and purchased my 1st Coyote rifle. I picked up a Savage Model 11 Classic Hunter in .204 w/Accue Trigger for $299.00 from Gander Mountain. To good of a deal to pass up! Also topped it with a Nikon ProStaff scope for another $150.00 so I think I'm set to take him and other Yotes out!

All I need to do is go to the Range![&:][8D]:)

For sure a yote, look at his ears, tall and pointy, fox ears are smaller than that. He also looks taller than a fox. Good luck

I just wanted to clarify that grey fox also have a black tipped tail, while a red has white tipped.

That is a coyote though.

Well I went over to where he did his duty and did some calling with the .204 in hand. After about an hour of calling, distress calls then pup yelps, he showed his face across the field @ 167 yards, I MISSED HIM!!!!!!!!!![:@]

I'm hooked on this predator hunting, too much fun!!!!!

ive been running fox and yotes with hounds for 15 yeahs now and that there is a yote no if ands or buts about it
