Default Coyote gun and ammo

I was thinking about trying for coyotes with a 12 gauge shotgun and a slug . Has anyone used this method and what are good tips?

I have used buckshot in the past as well. Instead of one large hole from a slug you get several medium sized holes. My advice would be to scrap the shotgun and get yourself a .222 or .223 rifle.

I highly doubt that.

In my opinion the ideal coyote setup would be a .223

Never tried a 22 but at 75 yds dont see how it could produce a humane kill. Dont dout you can shoot, just think ya need a little more gun

The .223 is a good round, but I like my .243 because it will stop them in there tracks.
