This is a good round for varmits ifconditions are just rihgt. (no wind) After reading some of his stuff a few summers ago, and buying a .17 HMR, my curiosity got the best of me, and I was about to order a barrel for my Encore when Remington legitamized the round. Haven't heard much on how its doing. Although, if they would chamber some inexpensive rifles in the caliber so the masses could afford them, I suspect they'd gain the reputation the rimfires have in such a short time. |

Check-out the RockyMountain Varmint Hunters (RMVH) videos, these guys use .17MACH IV'sall the time with nice results.

Swamp, the 17RFM is a nice little gun, but although it will kill yotes, you will have to be able to place your shot with presition and fairly close range. The little bullet breaks up fast and only leaves a surface wound.

RE: 17. cal
I use it for prairie dogs and yotes
