AIRGUNS

RE: AIRGUNS
I cannot legally take squirrels with my .177 here in LA, but armadillos, racoons, and opossums are fair game. Nutria are a big problem too.
I have theWinchester 1000SB. I comes with mounts and a4X32 scope. It works great.

RE: AIRGUNS
When the piston slams forward it needs a cushion of air to slow it down when it hits the front. PBA's lighter than lead so it emerges from the barrel faster and the air that would be compressed and cushion the piston exits the barrel instead.

RE: AIRGUNS
Oh, i shoot PBA's on my 200 dollar airgun- when i bough er it came with the PBA's so i'd think it would tolerate them. as of now it shoots fine but i dont wanna mess it up- i dont want to use lead cause it doesnt shoot flat, it drops down. PBA's shoot a fine straight line. if anything starts to happen ill switch. thanks for the advice though.

RE: AIRGUNS
I know you are lookng for an airgun, and for the lack of sound.
If you have a good .22, then check with the local gun shops for "powderless".22 rounds. I have several boxes, the brand is Colibri. red box with what looks like a hummingbird on the box. Everybit as quiet as ANY pellet gun out there. I used them to shoot mice/rats in the city limits in when I was in California.
If this isn't an option, then most airguns will do just fine killing rabbits and squirrels.

I like the idea that they are relatively quiet and have limited kick.
