I shot this crow April 28th before I went to my Senior Prom. My dad took the pic of the crow for me because I was all dressed up. Shot him with my Rem. 700 VLS a few hours after I sighted it in...I'd only had the rifle three days

EDIT: My bad, didn't realize crows weren't on the list.
To bad they should be.

Sorry boy/girls i just wasnt sure on what would be the most popular animals so next time i will add more animals and maybe take some out. By the way i will probably start one up for the winter.

Well, I finally got out again last night. Work has just been keeping me too busy to get out like I want to. Had a good night though, got 12 on 13 shots.

I shot this one at about 10 yds when he popped up out of his hole. You can't tell in the pic, but his head it right next to his tail. It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, "Kiss your butt goodbye!"

This groundhog is my 100th career groundhog. It took me three years to reach him, but I made it. I shot 27 in '05 and 14 in '06.

My streak ended with this guy, I had shot 32 groundhogs in a row without a miss. Then this one popped up about 60 yds away and I only had the option of an offhand shot. I rushed the shot and missed him with the first, but took my time on the second and drilled him.

Well if its not too late I'd like to get in on the action. I just registered so I'm a little off from the May 10th day of signing up, but if its not a hassle I'd like "compete" if you will. I wont really start hunting until September on because thats when most small game seasons open here. Except for the pest rabbits I shoot out of the garden.
Thanks

#1....can someone let me know if these are going to count?
Also, can someone tell me how to make an image smaller? After I copy it to paint it is too large and I had to cut out a big portion to make it fit...

Sorry guys ive been pretty busy, but i updated everything.

Moose sorry man cant include it, has to be "put down". Nice catch though.

TheformerLives, ill add you for the simple fact that there isnt much of us and its just for fun. As for makin pics smaller i just put them on an image hosting site such as photobucket.com. You upload the pic there then under the pic you copy the direct link then just click on the box that looks like mountains with a yellow background where you are replying here and just put the link into the box that pops up and you should be good to go.

hey there, if you don't want to mess with photo bucket you can go to the "image" option in paint in the top bar and select to resize/reskew and pick a percentage you would like to scale it down to then save to your chosen folder and upload!

Thats what I do for all my pics. I find it much easier than trying to work with them in a whole other account.

Got another one a few nights ago. I took my 6 y/o cousin out with me just to see what we would see. Well we found one, he was super excited and wanted his pic with it.

Well, I'm finally off the snide. :)

When I signed up I figured I would end up shooting a few coyotes and wanted to shoot a few raccoons on my property but I ended up shooting prairie dogs on a co-workers place.

I shot several more, but these were the only ones that I ended up picking up and taking a picture of:

Not sure how many points these are worth. Groundhogs are 30 pts, Ground Squirrels are 20 pts and Gophers are 15 pts. You can tell by their size they are larger than gophers (the envelope in the picture with the date is 9" long).

Hopefully I will have some more tomorrow.

Well guys, I'm done for this year. I'm writing this from my dorm room up in NH (about 600+ miles from my groundhog fields) so I won't be adding anymore to my total. I think I made a pretty decent dent in the population.:D

If you plan on running another 'summer' contest next year when I'm back home, I'll sign up for that, but while I'm in NH, I'm going to be focusing on my studies and trying to find a way to hunt some deer with my bow if possible.

Good luck everyone!

This will probably be my last entry also. I shot a few more but didn't bother taking pictures of them all because there is no way I'm going to make it up to 2nd place! This should put me solidly into 3rd though.
