RE: My homebrew wireless E caller
How much did it cost to build?

RE: My homebrew wireless E caller
In the case, speaker, amp, and patch cables I have 45.00, I already had a small cheap MP3 player, The Azden PRO wireless microphone(I can get between 75-100ft leaving the antennadown)I picked up off of craigslist for 40 bucks. All in all with everthing I am just under 100 dollars for my wireless remote caller.

RE: My homebrew wireless E caller
It looks like you used a radio shack amplifier. Are you having any problem with white noise from the amp? I'm using one with a CD player and it does produce some noticeable white noise.

RE: My homebrew wireless E caller
I am using the Radio shack AMP until my Vellman amp kit arrives, I used a shielded cable from the azden reciever to the amp and I removed the wires to the AMPS internal speaker, I get some white noise if I turn the AMP up much past 1/2 way, Like others have posted this AMP does seem to have a sweet spot. For my area 1/2 way up on the AMP is plenty loud enough, Though I am looking forward to trying the Vellman amp kit, It seems to get a better recomendations.. One last thing, I picked up a stereo to mono plug, I plug it into my sound source, then my shielded cable to my transmitter into it, that seems to help with the noise some as well. Without things to tweek and try differently how would one survive the muddy month of March???:)

RE: My homebrew wireless E caller
That looks great ;). Made one myself a good month agofrom als with the weasle. But shamefuly I admit it's been used once with no success. The total cost for the one I built was about $120. $80 of which was the MP3.
