New at Predator Hunting. First time. Help
 

Would like to try and give coyote hunting a shot with rifle. Have watched on TV etc but never been.

What type of areas to look for, when to call, what to expect? Shooting 243 Win.
Accustomed to Bow hunting but this is a new thing. Looks fun.

look for areas w/ coyotes in them that should work. expect to piss urself because those thinsg pop out of nowhere sometimes and use like 80gr bullets or smaller if u want to save the fur. call anytime, but it works best for me at night

Right now you would want to do use a female mating call. but first you need to locate where the yotes are at. Yotes are most active in the mornings around here. When their most active depends on where you live though i think. You may need to look that up.
