new to coyote hunting help!!

i have been wanting to learn to hunt coyotes, went out for the first time last saturday no luck. just called in a few deer. is that normal? any suggestions?
the gear i have is a remington 22-250 hunter speciality electronic call, home made decoy, and a mouse squeaker.please help thanks chad

Calling in deer is normal it happens often. Right now is the time of the year to be howling for coyotes do some female invitation howls with some male challenge howls you then will get the coyotes.

went out today no luck.
how long do i sit how long do i do my calls, anything?
i know there is coyotes in this area cause we see them when we shotgun hunt this area for dee.
