Actually I have a Remington 870 Express Magnum 12 gauge and its a really good light shotgun. It comes with a fully rifled barrel and a smooth bore. Ive killed a few with it but i usually use a .22 long.

Stoeger M2000. Give it a try!!! You'll love it! I think mine's 7 pounds. I've shot tons of hoppers with it.

not too shure about a semi that would be light, might want to consider a double if you want a fast second shot. stoger i belive makes a cheep coach gun with 20" barrels that would make a nice light brush rabbit gun.

You might want to consider using a 20 ga. autoloader. 12s will really put a hurting on the rabbits. With that said, there are a few spots I hunt that I carry a 12 since its so dang thick.

Dont buy a Mossburg, I think that its one of the few semis auctually close or under $400. It jams a lot and feels cheap. My buddy bought one and now is stuck with it.

yeah, i wouldn't recommend Mossberg semi's.
