I think for yotes it should be 8" x10" loop .You might have set it big enough for a bear or deer.I bought a dozen snares and started looking at how to use them. These things are new to me,I grow up on legholds.

you know, you have a good point there,if my size 13 huge rubber boot could easily get caught in that trap,just think what if deer or bear could do..

can a dogs head get in that type of trap?i almost had to take my boot off in snow to get that trap off,they are on there tight..
