Here is what I did to my coyote gun. It's a Stevens 200 in .223.
Please ignore the ugly carpet in my basement spare room. It came with the house.[:'(]

It's not shootingthe way I want it yet Mike.Definitely good enough for coyote hunting though. I have only had it out for a couple short sight in sessions and only used one load in it. I have done several of the "Handi" tricks since the last time out. So, I hope to have it shooting by the time you come over.

cascadedad,

if you havent already, float the barrel. I have the same rifle in same caliber and the groups were all over the place once the barrel heats up. I floated my barrel and it shoot great.

Hey nutter, how did you float the barrel? It is my understanding that with this type of rifle (screw holding on forearm) you can not free float the barrel. But.....I did install a rubber o-ring on the forearm stud, which does float the rest of the barrel. After doing a little more reading, I installed some weather stipping foam between the barrel and the front of the forestock. This basically creates a pressure bed which reportedly really helps accuracy. I can't wait to shoot it again to see where I am at with it. Hopefully that will be sometime this weekend.

From top to bottom:
Marlin 917V .17 HMR
Remington 700 300 SAUM (I like the long range advantage)
Marlin 882 .22 Mag
CZ 527 American .204 Ruger
Rossi .223
