Difference between Fox and Coyote hunting?

I have hunted this property for the whole deer season and have seen one fox. There are many tracks which I don't know if they are yote or fox. I have a digital predator call and am planning to setup on the field edge near the creek they travel. I have a good idea of how to hunt them, but not about the calling part.

Like I said, I have the digital caller. It has like thrashing and rabbit distress. Cat Distress, etc. I have some rabbit scrapes that I will be setting out. I know the rules and we can hunt them at night with a spotlight and a call. What's the best way to go at this? Any help about calling? Thanks in advance fellow predatories.

as far as I know call 'em just like you would any other predator. they all seem to eat the same stuff.

Fox and yotes are almost the same if ppl are using the bunny in distress call in ur area quite frequently go to the cat distress or i like to use the fawn distress during or after deer hunting. varmints get smart if you use the same call in the area just set up with light or no wind to your face and watch behind you. most of the time them critters will sneak behind u and busted without a shot so if you can get a spot where you can see behind u thats the best. hunt the edges like u saidbecause in the middle of a woods they can come anywhere until they hit ur tracks then their gone. i personally like the cat because they are not as familiar with hunters using them unlike the rabbit where every hunter in the county uses them. mix things up too, call for 2 min, wait 1 min call 4 min wait 2 call 8 min wait for 30 min then go to like the woodpecker distress or something like that good luck

Thanks, that is helpful/

Also, I found some large holes in the side of a hill near the railroad tracks. They had the dog tracks around them. (Coyote or Fox?) Would it be a good idea to set up near those? Or should I stay away and try to call them out.

I know wind is key, and keep it away from the direction you expect them to come.

Those holes on train traxare fox.

Cat andfawn distress are useless for fox.

Do nothowl if you think fox are around either, coyote make meals out of fox, stick with rabbit distress and woodpecker distress, the best though is a squeker, sounds like a chipmunk/mouse in distress.

I have a bird distress.. it is like chirping, should I try that?

Why are they attracted to woodpecker pecking?
