Well high desert wolf, first you would have to check the drop on the ammunition your using if sighted in at 200 how low it will be at 400. Then after adjusting for that you need to just hold the crosshairs a couple of inches to the left if the coyote is 400 yards to the north and you have a 15 mph western wind.;) but that wasnt what we was talking about. that takes skill. Dead calm shooting at your zero point and if you have a good rest, most anyone should be able to hit it or get close.

I shot some chepo rounds through it today at a 50 yd. target and the groups were all over the place!!! Is is proubably the ammo? I shot a different round after that and the groups shrunk a little. Some guns can shoot chepo, some cant. Does anyone think mine is one that can't? Thanks for help!!!:)

Well, first I have to ask is this a new gun or used and do you know if the barrel was broke in properly? If not you may never have that "tack driver accuracy" but try as many different loads as possible. I tried at least 20 different combinations before I found a load that grouped how I wanted.

LOL!!! um yea ok:D. Ok got a scenario for you yer shootin your 223 its zeroed for 200 yards. The coyotes is at 400 yards to the north and you have a west wind of 15 mphs where do you hold your sights??
I wait for it to close the distance and come to my call and then when it gets to 200 I put the crosshair dead on and squeeze

that would be the smartest way

When they say breaking in they mean to shoot clean shoot clean shoot clean 20 times.... There isnt really any sence in that is there? Because if there is i didnt do it.... What i did do is only shoot a couple of times at once before i shot anymore. Is that an ok way to do it?
