I'm from Hemingway SC. Me and a friend of mine turned loose an english and a walker dog 1year old and ran a bo' coon over a mile. they worked the track for over an hour. the coon weighed in at 23lbs! thats the biggest one i've seen in a while. but those swamp coons get pretty big.

i would try running it with some trained dogs too this has worked for me my uncle who is pretty big into coon hunting and has had a lot of different dogs says the best ones it comes natural and dont need much training just his opinion though also make sure they are not gun shy i had a very good walker female that had a nose like no other but as soon as i shot she was gone became a pain in the you know what and i could never break her of it good luck with it though have fun nothing more fun than coon hunting

We have been hunting with a handful of other guys. Lots of different dog groups. Have you ever had a dog in your group that your dog refuses to track with, or tree with? Just curious. It has us a little confused as to why our walker won't hunt with this other guys dog.

I've seen this before. Probably these two dogs have gotten into a little scruffle sometime before on a tree or track and you guys just didn't here them. I've seen several instances where two dogs hunt fine together for the first however many times and as soon as they get in a fight they won't work together.
