Took the nephew on the trapline this morning - lots of pics

My nephew has been wanting to tag along with me while I set and check traps. Since he's been spending the week with my parents for Thanskgiving, I took him on the line yesterday. I taught him how to make a fox set, let him bed the trap, and he caught his first red. Boy was he excited. We ended the morning with a raccoon, a fox, and two muskrats.

Congrats it looks like you are going to have a trappin partner. Good job on taking a young one, that's the only way we can keep the tradition going.

thats cool, but makes me sad because my son is only 18 months old and i cant wait for him to grow up so we can hunt together. ive not shot a deer yet, but i have about 8 years to learn everything so i can teach him !
