223 for coyotes

The only yote i've ever shot was with my 270 wsm and I pulverized him. Now I also have a 223 and was wondering what you guys thought. Thanks for the help.

that is what i use for coyotes it works very well out to 200yards easily and it you are a good shot and you can go 300+ if you want just about any of the bullet weights will do good luck

I shoot a lot of stuff with my .223. It will take coyotes as far out as you can accurately shoot it.

Deadly as heck out to about 450 yds.

I love my .223. it's accurate and is cheap to shoot. I also shoot 55 gr. I dont think i would shoot to 450 yards, they start to drop off pretty good after 300 but if it works for some people i guess thats great. my limit is 300 or so though

I've shot a couple of deer with my .223 too, but it doesn't have any knockdown power though. No matter where you hit them, they are going to run agood ways. Mine ran about 130 to 150 yars.
