may your pack horse be heaped with furs and the fur buyers begging to buy,trade and sell your furs,well it would be nice if those days were back.best of luck,be safe and most of all,have fun.

Hows the trapping going ?? I used to trap in Illinois..... What are coons going for now ? Muskrat ? I have not trapped in 20 years....just curious though. i used to sell my furs to Chuck Heaton in Danville.... heard he passed away though....

Good luck this year Dave! Our trapping opened up on Nov. 1st, but I'm holding out till next week before hitting it. We've had very warm temps, hardly any snow and unfortunately this summer we had a huge rabies die off with the arctic fox population. I saw 7 reds in one trip on my line, and took one nice cross with my bow, so hopefully it will be a good year for them, and maybe I'll get lucky and get one of them wolverines in my 330's.

Around here good coon on carcass get ya 10 bucks,same with beaver, havet sold any muskrat or mink yet, red fox 15-20. Good thing I'm not in it for the money.
