Jackrabbits better watch out! NOW WITH PICTURES...
My son and I are headed to the deer lease this weekend to do a little work. After the chores, we'll be hunting up some bunnies. I got myself a new Ruger 10/22 Saturday, with a BSA 3-9X scope and a couple 30 round mags. I gave my son my old Marlin Model 60, and put a Burris 3-9X on it for him. We went to the range Saturday afternoon and got them close to being zeroed before it started raining cats & dogs. Hopefully we'll see a bunch of rabbits this weekend. If we do, I'll post some pics next week.

RE: Jackrabbits better watch out!
Apparently, jackrabbits are much smarter than cottontails. I saw four cottontails this weekend, and tagged all four. They pretty much just sit there and let you shoot them...Theyseem to believe that if they're really still, people can't see them. Jackrabbits on the other hand... I caught a fleeting glimpse of about a dozen, and managed to throw one shot at one as it ran in the opposite direction. The others all disappeared before I could get my rifle shouldered.
I'll post pics of the cottontails after I get the film developed.
As an aside... Damn that 10/22 is fun to shoot!!!

RE: Jackrabbits better watch out!
Here I am at camp with three bunnies I shot on Sunday morning. I saw quite a few jackrabbits, but they wouldn't sit still long enough for me to get a good shot.

Here's a pic showing the red hourglass on her abdomen. Sorry the pics are all a bit fuzzy. I bought my camera off of e-bay, and this roll of film came with the deal. I think the film was a bit too old...
