Does anybody know when sqirell season begins in mass? and do you have to get a hunting lisence and tags too? What if im gonna hunt with an airgun?

You need a hunting license, but not tags. Just stay within the bag limits. Now there are different seasons for different zones. In zones 1-9, Gray Squirrel season starts on September 11, 2006 and ends January 2, 2007. In zones 10-14, season starts October 14, 2006 and ends January 2, 2007. I've been thinking of doing some squirrel hunting myself this year with the longbow.
