woodchuck question
 

will my ruger 10/22 carbine .22lr take a woodchuck from 50 yards, i can shoot good grouping, but i dont know if it has enough energy to kill one in one or two shots. i have a 3-9 scope on it.

and i also have a bow, wich ishoot pretty good out to 35 yards, and a 12g shotgun if either of those would be better.

Head shot with the .22 will do the trick. Just be careful they might run in the hole never to be seen again.

Yes , a 10-22 will take out chucks at that range with a head shot . I have a Marlin 60 that does from 60-70 yards , I can bust 2" Shatterblast targets with it all day long at the same range .

i have shot a woodchuck in the head at 20-25 yds away with a 645 fps bb and killed it not right away but it did like 7 sec after .

The .22 will do the trick my 1000 fps pellet rifle can take them from 20yads so i think the 22 will do. But sometime you should try the bow great fun...
