No offense but some of us are serious about getting those coyotes out of the woods. I hope this helps you out.

These came out of a block of about twenty square miles, during mid Dec. thru mid March. The top pole was also filled
and several was hanging on the sides with them when done.

Amazinginfo and pictures. I'm a serious Deer and Turkey hunter. I'm just getting into Coyote hunting. My farm in SE Ohio is all woods with a few small food plot. I'm not having much luck yet getting responses. I see a few each year but have not closed the deal yet. I have ALOT of coyotes.

Any advice onwoods hunting? Should I concentrate on clearing primarily? Any help would be great.

Thanks for sharing

We hunt them here around our frozen lakes by putting bait out
for them. Usually stuff left over from trappers or dead deer the
coyotes have run out on the ice. So openings are best for us,
however some here like to run dogs on them. They use radio
collars to keep up and snowsleds to get a head of them and wait.
Good Luck

Not sure what that is supposed to mean, but a stringer full of dogged coyotes bears little resemblance to the pictures I posted and the sport I enjoy. If a couple dozen men and a few dozen dogs spend four months running coyotes they should certainly outperform a man with a rifle.

The concept of BIG coyote numbers is not something I wanted to stir up with my photos...Ihave taken hundredsmore taken by traps, dogs and spot/stalk methods but I'm proud of the ones I call. The art of calling predators is very challenging- I enjoy it an awful lot. To imply that I am not serious about coyotes... in any capacity... is nothing less than offensive.

Howler- I've found the definition of "Serious" to be obvious in the field but a little fuzzy when online. I've seen some guys type for five years without killing a coyote, and sadly many new guys soak up their advice because ofa high post count. Because of this, I like to test the water on a website before I get too involved in discussion- these guys seem pretty cool!

Sorry to offend, but, I think you wrote this and my only point is that there is others out here that do hunt them. And over bait on our lakes is the most effective way. As coyotes here tend to kill most deer by putting them on the ice.
