Road killed Beaver?

Hi guys this may be a dumb question, but I am a delivery driver and travel a lot and have been noticing a large numer of roadkilled beaver in my area lately. I actually picked up two fresh ones today. Are they worth picking up this time of the year? Should I just leave them lay? What are they worth? Thanks for any info, I appreciate it!!!

Naw they won't be worth anything this time of year. You have about 2 weeks after the ice comes of the lakes and rivers b4 the pelts get rubbed and bit up bad. Even then a spring beaver is a spring beaver, prime time is the winter but a guy can still make a decent buck getting them in the spring when they are easier to get at. You see beavers on the road quite frequently when water levels are very high. They do not like to cross roads through culverts when the water is high cause the turbulance is too great. Also when the water is high it floods the house out so you will see beavers up on the banks and in the ditchs rather than swimming in the fast current. Just a few things i have noticed here.
