Best time to hunt yotes
Whatdo you guys think is the best time to hunt coyotes? I've heard early morning, right before the sun comes up is when they're most active. Also, I'd imagine that full moon stage is best as well?

RE: Best time to hunt yotes
Early AM or Late PM right before dark. I don't hunt at night with the moon but I am sure that would be great as animals lose their fear more in the dark. I have best results when it is REAL cold and no wind.

For me, early morning has been pretty good hunting. Especially as the weather here goes from warm to hot, animals become a lot less active during the day and a lot more active at night and in early morning and late evening.

RE: Best time to hunt yotes
Like some have said, early morning or early evening for me. Yet, that doesn't mean the many kills I have had during high noon ever happened, because i have had many yotes show up 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., even 1 p.m. In the summer here, I have found some patterns with the yote here that on really warm mornings, I have seen and taken down desperate yotes searching for that last meal, or drink. It all depends on the landscape, the biology of the yote, and what draws those yote out, even in the beating sun.
