And dead ones at that. Looks like a couple dozen shouldn't have tried to brave the cold. Nice shooting.

The real name is Richardson ground squirrell but we call them gophers.

wow that looks like a blast! what kind of guy were u using? i do most of my groundhog hunting like that....we drive along the fields and shoot off the hood of the truck at um. Farmers hate um and I love to shoot um!!! good job!!!

I use a .22 Mag and my cousin uses a .22 hornet!

hey man, im in VA too...how exactly do you do that kind of hunting for groundhogs, just get permission from a lot of farmers beforehand, and then cruise around til you see one?
