RE: coon trap

Where i live in South Carolina i set them out around swamps and around creeks.Around here ive noticed that coons have trails and there pretty ez to spot if you look down through grass around swamps and creeks you'll see them. I like to set them up were the trap looks like a hole or a cubby for them to get in and stake the trap down cuz it will roll it over and get the bait.As for bait i use marshmellows a few outside the trap and a big glob in the very back in the center of the trap i also like to put some kind of meat ive used skerls and birds in the back of the trap ive also used stuff like poptarts anything sweet or fruity or any kind of fresh meat. Where i set up my trap im almost certain to get a coon every time in one night. I hope this helps.

Look for their tracks and scat along creeks, if you set it up right with some sweet smelling bait you should not have a problem catching them.
