has anyone called a racoon in before and if so what did you use

alright heres what you do... are you ready for this... you go into the woods. with the best camo you have sit down . get ready . and say "HERE MR. COON." then start wistling.... works like a charm


on a more serious note. i have them comming in sometimes when i use a rodents distress call or a cottentail distress call, or even a coon distress call. you take your pick.

The best coon calling action will come from an ecaller with coon fight sounds. For the best results, set up close to, with-in 50 yards, a known den tree and turn it on and get ready for action. They can be called during daylight with this method. Coons seldom come to distress sounds, they will , BUT if you really want action to be consistant, ecaller with coon fight sounds is the ticket!!

take howlers advice over mine. i have never tried callin just have them come in. i would much rather use dogs on ringtails.
