im finaly getting a .22!my dad is getting two 10 shot clip loaders (will post model and company when i ask him),and he said he might give me one.i figured out we will be probably going for something small like rabbit and grouse.

which brings me to another question:would a .410 be adequate for grouse?because at walmart theres a .410 at walmart for under
100$ ,pump, i think 5 shot.i could get the money by feb if it would be adequate.and also is it good for rabbit?

We use .410's on rabbits later in the season here. They do a fine job. Obviously, just smaller shot and less power. I don't know about a .410 for partridge. It can be done, but it may be very difficult if they jump 20 yards ahead of you or farther.

a 4-10 is a nice load for them but i cant afford 9 bucks a box. i would much rather go a 20 anf pay 3 for a box jmo

If your getting a .22 you wont need a .410 for rabbits. I used my .410 for squirrels mainly and I have to say, from me to the top of a tree (75ft) was too far for that gun. Sure the squirrels would come tumbling down but would scamper off wounded into their holes. I had to be on my toes. So if you do get a .410 keep the shots relativley close. By the way, my .410 is a Rossi single shot. 80$
